The Education seminar organised by Alternattiva Demokratika, the Green Party is aimed to foster a general discussion on the educational system in Malta. The discussion will revolve around the present state of education in Malta and the current reforms in place. The discussion will outline the goals of education in line with the Lisbon Treaty’s agenda.
The panel comprises Mario Mallia, AD spokesperson on education; Prof. Carmel Borg, from the Faculty of Education, University of Malta; Kevin Bonello, Malta Union of Teachers; and Prof. Grace Grima, Director-General in the Directorate of Quality and Standards in Education. Journalist James Debono will chair the discussion.
The seminar will take place at Europa House (254, Triq San Pawl, Valletta, Malta) on Saturday 8th October 2011. Attendance is free of charge.
Attendees have to bring their ID cards due to security measures for Europa House.
