Illum il-Gvern, permezz tal-Ministru Jonathan Attard kompla juri kemm huwa gvern kontra l-iżvilupp sostenibbli, kemm ma għandux idea ta’ żvilupp ekonomiku li jagħmel sens, u kemm huwa nieqes mill-ideat. Il-Gvern Laburista permezz tal-Property Malta Foundation qed ikompli jħajjar l-ispekulazzjoni fil-propjetà. Qed ikompli jgħolli l-prezzijiet bla rażan għal min il-propjetà hija d-dar u l-post fejn joqgħod. Din hija l-Viżjoni 2050 – l-istess diska, l-istess ħsara lill-pajjiż. Dan qalitu ċ-Chairperson ta’ ADPD-The Green Party Sandra Gauci.
Is-Segretarju Ġenerali ta’ ADPD-The Green Party Dr Ralph Cassar qal li mid-diskors li sar illum waqt il-laqgħa ġenerali tal-fondazzjoni Property Malta li hija public-private partnership li tinkludi l-gvern u l-ispekulaturi huwa ċar li l-gvern se jibqa’ jibni ekonomija finta mibnija fuq it-trekkin tal-fus fil-propjetà filwaqt li l-pagi ma jlaħħqux mal-prezzijiet tad-djar. Dan mhux gvern progressiv favur in-nies iżda gvern favur il-ftit u l-investiment finta ta’ miljunarji f’pajjiż daqs tikka u mimli bini bl-addoċċ. Ix-xiri tal-propjetà mill-miljunarji mhux vera investiment fil-pajjiż, anzi huma flus li mhux produttivi u ta’ ħsara għall-pajjiż. Gvern tal-passaporti u l-ispekulazzjoni f’pajjiż b’bini bla rażan. Kif tista’ tlaħħaq ma’ dawn in-nies il-bqija tal-popolazzjoni?

A government for the few, for speculation and a sham economy
ADPD-The Green Party Chairperson Sandra Gauci said that today the government, through Minister Jonathan Attard continued to confirm that it is a government which is against sustainable development, has no idea of economic development that makes sense, and how much it lacks ideas. The Labour government through the property Malta Foundation is continuing to encourage speculation in property. Through it’s actions it is continuing the scandalous inflation of property prices for the vast majority of people who actually need to purchase or rent a property as a place to call their home. This is Labour’s Vision 2050 – same old stuff, perpetuating the damage being foisted on the country in the interest of the few.
ADPD-The Green Party Secretary General Dr Ralph Cassar noted that from reports of the speeches delivered today during the general meeting of the Property Malta foundation, a public-private partnership which includes the government and speculators it is clear that the government will keep propping up a sham economy built on speculation disguised as ‘investment’ while income from wages come nowhere near to catching up with the artificial inflation in property prices encouraged by government itself. This is not a progressive pro-people government but a government in favour of the few, a government whose idea of investment is getting millionaires to sink their money in property at the expense of everyone else. This is not real, productive investment but the encouragement of more and more construction in an overdeveloped country. A government of passports and speculation in a country choc-a-bloc with buildings.
