The European Green Deal is the biggest environmental and climate protection programme that the European Union has ever launched. And this milestone for nature conservation, climate protection and the circular economy is in grave danger. The new right-wing and conservative majority in the European Parliament (EPP, and the conservative and nationalist far-right) and in the EU member states is putting pressure on Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. 

In the coming weeks, she intends to present proposals to significantly undermine the Green Deal. This is just the beginning. The so-called “omnibus” proposals are a veritable festival of the polluters’ lobby.

That is why Green MEPs Anna Cavazzini, Jutta Paulus & Michael Bloss and former Green MEP Sven Giegold have launched an appeal: Save the Green Deal! Anna, Jutta, Michael and Sven were all involved in pushing through the Green Deal legislation and now they need your help to defend and develop it.
