In view of the latest reported financial crash of certain assets in Crystal Finance Investments, Alternattiva Demokratika Chairperson, Prof. Arnold Cassola, said: “This financial setback for investors is the latest in a series, which started off with the La Vallette Multi Manager Property Fund and continued with Maltese Cross Financial Services and All Invest Co. Ltd. A legitimate question that comes to mind is: “How is it that the MFSA financial regulator is not always managing to identify the weaknesses of these companies before the financial crash actually happens?”

MFSA should explain what measures it has taken to protect the interests of the small investor.

Fil-kuntest ta’ dak li ġie rrapurtat dwar it-tisbita finanzjarja li ħadu certi assi tal-Crystal Finance Investments, iċ-Chairperson ta’ Alternattiva Demokratika, Prof. Arnold Cassola, qal: “Dan il-każ ta’ telfien finanzjarju għall-investituri huwa l-aħħar wieħed f’sensiela li rat il-bidu tagħha fil-La Vallette Multi Manager Property Fund u kompliet bil-Maltese Cross Financial Services u l-All Invest Co. Ltd. Mistoqsija leġittima li tiġik f’rasek hija: “Għaliex ir-regulatur tal-MFSA mhux dejjem qed jirnexxilu jidentifika l-problemi f’dawn il-kumpaniji qabel ma effettivament jseħħ it-telfien finanzjarju?”

Jeħtieg li l-MFSA tispjega x’miżuri ittieħdu biex tħares l-interessi tal-investitur iż-żgħir.
