Michael Briguglio, AD Chairperson, said: “The dramatic developments in Libya in the past hours are beyond description. The celebration of freedom of common Libyan people in the streets of Tripoli is a true symbol of what making history is all about. The Libyan opposition, with the aid of the international community has finally got rid of the brutal Gaddafi regime. We augur that other brutal dictatorships are done away with”.
Prof. Arnold Cassola, AD spokesperson on EU and International Affairs, stated: “We salute and congratulate the people of Libya who are managing to get rid of a ruthless tyrant. It is now imperative that the transitional government ensures that there are not reprisals or vindictive actions by the winning faction.
