Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party said that it is scandalous that government has put IVF legislation on the back burner for so long, more so when a consensus position was reached in parliament on the issue.
 
‘Depicting IVF as some form of ‘evil’ and painting supporters of a reproductive technology which mimics and helps nature run its course  is unfair and uncalled for’, AD Secretary General Ralph Cassar said.
 
‘It is also strange that after years and years on end of lack of  legislation regulating this sector, IVF suddenly becomes objectionable only now. As usual government is neither here, nor there, and prefers  sitting on the fence on this issue.’
