AD chairperson, Prof. Arnold Cassola, said: “The arrest of an innocent Hungarian man who had been slapped and spat at before, and who was just helping out in the chaos caused by our disorganised transport service, is cause of serious concern for the majority of Maltese peace loving and democratic people. There is no place for police officers who arrest people on the basis of their skin colour. We look forward to justice being meted out as soon as possible”.

Alternattiva Demokratika tiddeplora l-imġiba tal-pulizija fit-terminus tal-Belt
Ic-Chairperson ta’ AD, il-Prof. Arnold Cassola, qalet: “L-arrest ta’ ċittadin Ungeriż, li kienu beżqu fuqu u li kien qala’ daqqa ta’ ħarta qabel, u li kien qiegħed jgħin fil-kaos ikkawżat mid-diżorganizzazzjoni tas-servizz tat-trasport, hijha ta’ tħassib kbir ghall-maġġoranza tal-Maltin li jħaddnu d-demokrazija u jħobbu l-paċi. Ma hemm l-ebda post għal uffiċjali tal-pulizija li jarrestaw nies fuq il-bażi tal-kulur tal-gilda tagħhom. Nistennew li ssir ġustizzja kemm jista’ jkun malajr”.
